CUSTOM CABINETRY VS. DIY CABINETRY
When you compare quotes for new cabinetry in your home, be sure that all the subcontractors are providing your with quotes on fully custom, fully assembled cabinets. DIY cabinetry will always be cheaper than fully assembled cabinetry ready to install, but this is one case where saving the money just isn't worth it. Fully assembled cabinetry is assembled by machines that allow the pieces to bond on a microscopic level, making them more durable, safe, and long-lasting than any DIY cabinetry could be! Factory construction methods include using dovetail joints, hot and cold glue, power fasteners, and other techniques that are virtually impossible to DIY.
